Islam is peace Religion ؟

Introduction

Islam ,peace ,Religion ,allah

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the earth's and heavens, the Creator of all creatures, who is fairly organizing the human life, we testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, the one and only God and Mohammed (s.a.w.) is theme ssenger of Allah.

I would like to present the reader a summary about the tolerance and justice of Islam among people whether they are strong or weak, black or white, leaders or common public, Muslims or non-Muslims.  In its Sharia law, the Prophet (s.a.w.) said when he performed his last Pilgrimage: There is no superiority for an Arab on a non-Arab, or for a red-skinned man on a black-skinned one, except those who observe taqwa (with piety).  Thus, human beings are equal in Islam because every one is from one origin.  Islam fights hatred and animosity between the human communities, and hates racial and tribal loyalty, Islam also forbids oppression. Narrated the Prophet (s.a.w.) that Allah says: (O’ my servants, I forbade oppression on Myself, so do not oppress each other).  Showing the love and tolerance, the justice and equality, that come out of the Lord's law.  Allah said: (Be justice, that is nearer to piety), and He also said: (Verily, Allah enjoins Al-Adl "i.e. justice and worshipping none but Allah alone- Islamic Monotheism" and Al-Ihsan "i.e. to be patient in performing your duties to Allah, totally for Allah's sake and in accordance with the Sunnah [legal ways] of the Prophet (s.a.w) in a perfect manner").  So Allah's order to mankind to be justice, fair and tolerant is for their best and well-being as He created humans and loves them more than they love their ownselves, and then Allah clearly explained that whosoever does a good deed, then he will get a reward, and whosoever does evil deed, then he will be punished as Allah said: (That day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds, so whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall see it, and whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall see it). Narrated Imam Muslim that the Prophet (s.a.w.) once told that Allah said: O' My servants: I forbade oppression on Myself, so do not oppress each other.O' My servants: You are all astray except those I guide, so ask Me to guide you to right path.O' My servants: You are all hungry except those I feed, so ask Me to feed you.O' My servants: You are all undressed except those I dress, so ask Me to dress you.O' My servants: You commit sins day and night, and I forgive all the sins, so ask Me to forgive you.O'My servants: You will neither benefit me nor do any harm to meO'My servants, if you all, humans and jinn, been put in to the heart of the most pious one among you, this will not add to my kingdom anything. O' My servants: If you all, humans and jinn, been put into the heart of the most dissipated and immoral one among you, this will not decrease any thing from My kingdom.O' My servants: If you all, humans and Jinn, stood on one side and invoked Me, I give each one of you what he is asking for, this will not decrease form what I have more than what a needle will take from an ocean water.O' My servants: It's your deeds that I count for you, and reward you accordingly, whosoever finds good should thank Allah, and whosoever finds otherwise should blame no one but himself.I would like to give the reader a summarized briefing about the tolerance of Islam to shed the light on the truth to those who want to know about Islam, asking Allah to open their hearts and minds to understand this great religion and to follow the right and true path of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.        Dr. AbdAlwahab Zahid

1. Islam is Peace, the Religion of Allah

Islam means peace, the word Islam is from Allah’s noble name and character (Al-salam) as He said in noble Quraan (-59-23/ He is Allah beside whom none has the right to be worshipped but He, the King, the Holy, the One free from all defects “the peace”), then Allah ordered all believers to follow the path of peace by saying (-2-208/ O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam “Peace”) “by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic Religion” and follow not the footsteps of Satan, verily! He is to you an open enemy) -.
The word Silm and Salaam in Arabic is one thing: which is the security that comes from faith and belief in Allah, the one and only God, and the comfort in following the beautiful orders and teachings that Allah called Al-salam in which you will find peace and security, as researcher R. Ingram once said that he believed Islam is a religion that gives you peace, security, and comfort.
Islam is the religion of Allah as He said in the noble Quraan (-3-19/ Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam). This religion contains the teachings of Allah to His creatures, He perfected its fair rules that brings total peace and security to all mankind, as well as containing the means of man’s happiness, as Allah said in the noble Quraan: (-5-3/ this day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.), and it’s the advice of Prophets Ibrahim and Yaqub, as was said in the noble Quraan (-2-132/ and this “submission to Allah, Islam was enjoined” by Ibrahim [Abraham] upon his sons and by Yaqub[Jacob] “saying” O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the true religion, then die not except in the faith of Islam “as Muslims- Islamic Monotheism”). And Allah said (-2-136/ Say “O Muslims, We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrahim [Abraham], Ismail [Ishmael], Ishaq [Isaac], and to Al-Asbat[the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya’qub [Jacob],and  that which has been given to Musa [Moses] and Isa [Jesus], and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted “in Islam”.

2. Freedom of Expression and Belief

The principle of peace can not prevail without equal rights. Even if people differ in faith, the secure, peaceful, and fair life is the right of everyone. Man can not live in Peace and security unless he practices his faith freely without forcing him to do what he dislikes. Islam guarantees freedom of faith to all peoples. It has been proved in noble Quraan before fifteen centuries as Allah said (there is no compulsion in religion), because religion has faith and it can only be reached by content and tranquility, the freedom of faith for individual and group can not be achieved unless be chosen freely with satisfaction to show the just of Allah in the day of judgment, where He will reward those who chose the right faith with Paradise and punish the infidel by hell fire, and your Lord treats no one with injustice. And in this life Allah said (for every nation there is a direction to which they face [in their prayers] so hasten towards all that is good), so every nation or person has a faith that he will be accounted for, and we have no way but to convey the clear message. Allah said (Do ye [also] submit yourselves? If they do, they are in right guidance, but if turn back, the duty is to convey the message). Allah ordered his messenger to say to infidels (To you be your way, and to me mine). In this verse, Allah clearly gives the freedom of faith with no compulsion or force, although he warns from choosing disbelief in him, by saying (But whoever changes from faith to unbelief hath strayed without doubt from the even way). And he also said (but such as open their breast to unbelief, on them is wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful penalty). This is the rule of Allah in the hereafter, but in this life eachperson has the right to choose his own faith, Islam has given all peoples, Christians, Buddhists, etc to practice their acts worship as some western philosophers testifies, R. Wood Sordid (the Quraan has allowed non-Muslims to practice their faith freely, and called for their equal rights like Muslims,

3Peace is the Greeting of the Faithful

In order to strengthen peace in Muslims faith, Allah ordered them to make peace their greeting when they meet and separate. Allah said (their greeting on the day they shall meet Him will be "Salam" : Peace). And He said (But when you enter the houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah say: AsslamuAlaikum - peace be on you).

4The greeting of Dwellers of Paradise

Stressing the importance of maintaining peace among mankind on earth, Allah rewards those who stick to this principle by entering paradise, and makes peace their greeting, as He said (They will call dwellers of Paradise “Peace be on you”). He also said (To dwell there in forever in Paradise, with the permission of their Lord, their greeting therein will be Salam “Peace”).

5.      Islam is Peace for Mankind

Islam has ordered all human beings to spread peace, as It holds the key to mankind security and happiness, prophet Mohammed (s.a.w) said (O people, spread peace among you), so he addressed all people, not only Muslims, and he preferred the one who started the greeting with peace, as he (s.a.w.) said (the best of you is the one who starts greeting his friend with salam “Peace”).

6.      Peace on Earth
Islamic scholars have confirmed that: peace is the aim of Islam and its objective on earth. Allah said (For them will be the home of peace “Paradise” with their Lord). And He said (Allah calls to home of peace Paradise by accepting Allah’s religion of Islamic Monotheism), and said (It was said: O Nuh [Noah]! Come dawn [from the ship] with peace from us and blessings on you).
Peace practically means to treat all people equally, justly and give them freedom, away from the bad greediness of humans. Peace can never match its meaning if it works for the interests of one party without taking into account the other party’s interests, and then it will be injustice. Allah said (But if they incline to peace, you also incline to it, and [put your] trust in Allah. Verily He is the All- Healer, the All Knower).

Part of peace is to spread security and comfort, put an end to fears and uneasiness among individuals and groups, forbid invading another’s rights and to infringe upon others, and forbid the killing of a person without legal right. Allah said (If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or [and] to spread mischief in the land, it would be as if he killed all mankind). So taking a human life is forbidden in Islam, and whoever kills a single person with no legal right, would be as if he killed all mankind.

Islam ordered Muslims to better treat their enemies, while maintaining their pride and dignity, and not to exchange with them the animosity they have, as they may return back to their senses and stop the injustice and animosity. Allah said (Allah orders the faithful believers to be patient at the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly, the verily he, between whom and you there was enmity “will become” as though he was a close friend). And this will be achieved through better treatment, which will change the clever enemy into a very close and dear friend. Islam orders us to be just and fair in treating all people. One of the companions of the Prophet (s.a.w.), Rabie Ibn Amir described the message of Islam to the leader of the Persian army by saying (Allah ordered us to follow the truth “Islam”, and lead them from worshipping the servants to worship Allah and from the narrowness of the world to its wideness, and from the injustice of religions to the justice of Islam.

. Islam Forbids Transgression and Helping One Another in Committing It

Allah ordered us to help one another in virtue and good deeds by saying) Help you one another in virtue, righteousness and piety), and Islam has given clear proofs and evidences that transgression is unacceptable and sinful, as He said (But do not help one another in sin and transgression), and Allah has completely forbidden helping one another in transgression and evil. Allah said (And transgress not verily, Allah does not like the transgressors).

8.     Peace is Mankind’s Right

The peace that Allah has ordered in his religion is based on maintaining freedom for all on the basis of equality and justice, without giving more care to the rich andpowerful, but to care for the rights of all people to all kinds of freedoms that takes into account good manners and understanding. One Islamic believe of freedom is“your freedom starts when other’s freedom ends, and ends when their freedom  starts), so this means no body has the right to interfere in the freedom of other prior to his/their permission. Another very well understood fact of freedom, which is truly Islamic, is how could you put people into slavery when they were born free.
Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Abdullah says that Peace is a free agreement that treats two groups equal in all aspects.

9. Islam is a Practical religion

Islam has never been a theoretical religion, so one can say he is Muslim by tongue without acting upon that, but Allah made practices and acts as the main bases for Islam, and He described Muslims by saying in 4/65 “find in them no resistance  against your  decision, and accept (them) with full submission”. Also in 24/51 the same words have been repeated for the believers (And find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept  “them” with full submission)
Allah also said ( the only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allah  His words, The Quran and His messenger (s.a.w.) to judge between them, is that they say:  “We hear and we obey”. And such are the successful “who will live forever in Paradise”).
We have one written statement  made and signed by Allah’s Messenger of Islam Muhammad (PBUH)
According to this The Prophet made a practical example of peace when he brought people of three different thoughts together and made them to live in peace and happiness in Madina. This was an  agreement between people of Tribe Auf, unbelievers. As prior to this agreement they were fighting, hating and killing each other. The statement says:
1.    Tribe Auf (Jewish) with muslims as one group;and for every body his religion is free.
2.    Every body has the right to live according to his own believes and will not intervene in any bodies affairs.
3.    If any one tries to harm the norms of this society or in other words the peace, all would fight against such a intrusion together.
4.    People would be free to advise one another  with good mind.
5.    According to this statement  help is for the wronged not for the cruel.
Thus looking into the components of this agreement it can clearly be said that Islam is peace. It advises its followers to live in peace where ever they go and what ever they do.  From component 4 it is also clear that the muslims love every body and hope for them also in the same way.

10  .       Rule of Peace opponent

The transgressors and arrogant who translate the meaning of peace to match their desires and racism, and do not stand with the right if this right is for a weak person, and refuse the principle of  fair peace if it contradicts with their desires and racism, these kind of people treat themselves with injustice and oppress others as well. Allah has prepared for them severe punishment in hell fire. He also ordered us to avoid them as they deny human rights.
Allah said (And when the foolish address them with bad words they reply back with mild words of gentleness), so we give those fools and the ignorant the peace and get away from them unless they insist on transgression, destruction and humiliation of people out of arrogance, refusing the principle of peace, as there is no way to deal this kind except using force to resist his transgression. Allah said (If you O Mohammad ((s.a.w.)) fear treachery from any people throw back their covenant to them “so as to be” on equal terms “that there will be no more covenant between you and them”. Certainly, Allah likes not the treacherous. And let not those who disbelieve think that they can outstrip escape from the punishment. Verily, they will never be able to save themselves  from Allah’s punishment, And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war “tanks, planes, missiles, artillery” to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy.) Here we find out that force should not be used until the end when you give up hope of avoiding harm, damage and transgression of the arrogant without force and our last invocation is praise and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

11 – islam Hates Transgressors

All as in ordered in Qura’n that transgression is unlawful (Haram) and hateful, because it is a blow on human rights and freedom (safety). Allah exorts not to transgress other rights. He says in chapter two of Qura’n “Allah likes not the transgressors” and Allah ordered to defend yourself from transgression and transgress him in the same manner. Again in chapter two aaya 194 “then woever transgresses the prohibition against you, you transgress likewise aginst him. And fear Allah and know that Allah is with Almuttaqun (pious)”. When you defend your rights from the transgressors and succeed in war, do not use your power to violate human rights. Islam does not fight with anyone unless someone himself starts fight.
Surah 42, aaya 41-42, “the way (of blame) is only against those who oppress men and rebail in the earth without justification; for such there will be a painful torment. And verily, whose so ever shows patience and forgives, that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah”.
Islamic law ordered to victorious muslim (1) respect the dead body of enemy and don’t distort  the dead body of the  enemy (2) don’t kill children (3) don’t kill old men (4) don’t kill women (5) don’t cut or fire trees (6) don’t cut food bearing trees (7) don’t kill animals (8)if your enemy enter in some worship place (church, temple etc.) don’t harm and destroy (9) don’t disturb the people busy in their worship.

The same message is being conveyed to people even today. The leaders of islam practice the same in day today life. The crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Abdullah says; that Peace cannot be implemented by force and power, it’s a natural phenomenon which should be cultivated by morality and love.
